Martha Stewart Mini Snack Meals
The Martha Stewart Living site has a great section on Whole Living where it gives advice on how to live the best life. My favorite section is the snacking section because it shows beautiful photos of examples of great healthy snacks.
According to the site healthy snacks are snacks that contain "a mix of complex carbs and protein -- a combo that metabolizes slowly, giving you more energy over time. You can look to leftovers for satisfying snacks, but watch the portion sizes: That means one ounce of cheese; two to three ounces of meat or fish; or 1/4 cup, give or take, of nuts".
There are then a series of photos that show healthy snacks such as fruit and yogurt combos, tomato and cheese combos, and pear and almond butter on bread combos.
All the snack combos in the series of photos pair great complex carbs with great protein sources. Paired with mini meals throughout the day, you can keep your energy up and metabolism buzzing.
Megafruit dried fruit snack packs are a great source of all natural carbohydrates that can be paired with any of the proteins mentioned on the Martha Stewart site. Click here for more info now about Megafruit.

I read that same article! Love that site! They have some really great ideas (and photos). And, I totally thought of you guys when I was trying to come up with my own ideas for healthy mini snacks. I'm thinkin' Megafruit, some almonds, some cacao nibs and some whole wheat pretzels and you've got yourself one heck of a healthy trail mix!
